据悉，Better Education发布了最新的昆州最佳学校排名，该排名综合了7-10年级的公立和私立学校。在公布的昆州前150所中学排名中，布里斯班市区以外的私立学校进步最大。
用于中学排名的打分是根据学校2023年的9年级英语和数学考试成绩计算得出的。100分为最高分，60分为最低分。
2023年公立学校和私立学校的分布与2022年的榜单相似，2023年前150名中有29所公立学校，而前一年有30所公立学校入围。
前四名保持不变，分别是： Queensland Academy for Science, Mathematics and Technology Brisbane Grammar School Brisbane Girls Grammar Brisbane State High
位于River City的Somerville House和St Peters Lutheran College的排名均上升了四位，分别位列第五和第六。
黄金海岸的AB Paterson College 上升了9位，进入前15名。
另外五所公立学校与本州一些最昂贵的私立学校一起挤进了前50名，它们是：
Mansfield State High Indooroopilly State High Kelvin Grove State College Brisbane South Secondary College Cavendish Road State High
但变动最大的是Townsville的Annandale Christian College，该校在2023年榜单上的排名上升了74位，升至第34位；Bundaberg的St Luke's Anglican School的排名从82位上升至71位； Scenic Rim的Tamborine Mountain State High School的排名上升了42位，升至第74位。
阳光海岸的Immanuel Lutheran College排名从第69位上升到第33位，Ipswich的Springfield Anglican College从第83位上升到第52位，黄金海岸的St Andrew's Lutheran College从第105位上升到第70位。
Toowoomba的Highlands Christian College也取得了显著进步，排名从第148位上升至第88位，布里斯班北部的Prince of Peace Lutheran College排名上升50位，升至第99位，同样位于布里斯班北部的Mary MacKillop College排名从137位上升至111位。
位于布里斯班北部的Padua College和位于Dutton Park的Brisbane South Secondary College在2022年未能入围，但在2023年的排名中首次进入前50名。
新进入2023年排名的19所学校还包括：Samford Valley Steiner School、Gold Coast Christian College、Clayfield College、Charters Towers School of Distance Education和Unity College on the Sunshine Coast。
